Q&A with Artist Telepathy

Telepathy is not reading your mind. She is Willow and has one hell of a vocal ability. As most of my readers know I am involved in Sellaband.com this artist just joined a couple weeks ago. Though she isn't rising through the charts with fire under her heels. There is enough people saying great things that I felt she would give us a great perspective. In less then 10 words describe yourself?

A cynical idealist who believes in Faeries!


How would you describe your music to a complete stranger?

Progressive rock works in progress, the complete sound exists in the mind already, along with the plan for inspiring sooooooo many people with an alternative choice for music, stories! Melismatic acoustic guitar, soulful female vocals, lyrical stories, social allegory.


What are the proudest achievements of your life?

The songs and poems I have written. The development of my voice into an instrument. The inspiring of friends. Taking the road less traveled. The ongoing process of non-compromise to status quo ~ following my own truth.....my ballet students...seeing the light in their eyes


What 1 advice would you give to an aspiring musician?

If you are moved by the muse...remember the songs do not belong to you...they live and must be shared...do not let them down!


Who inspires you?

People who believe in themselves and others. People who walk the walk no matter what talk. People of rich deep imagination. People who help others with no thought of personal glory.


Do you get nervous about playing live?

Of course....but I am addicted to it...so I smile, and live in the moment...I communicate and keep it real.


What 1 thing would you ask your fans to do to help your career?

So far I feel I have been blessed...so please keep up with more of the same: Keep in touch ! Keep giving me positive feedback so I know you are there and you care. Keep asking me questions, taking an interest. One very special thing I would love but I can not ask...it must be offered, and I pray the good fairy will come along.


What is the 1 thing your promo kit can't do without?

well...I am trying to get some more fun photos soon...I would love to make a video for Far Orbit and have asked for some help from my hubby - a web designer...he says maybe he can manage a blue screen to bring me into outer space, but who knows when.... Most of all I need to just keep working on my recordings...crafting them into the soaring orchestrations I hear in my mind.


What advice would you offer someone starting out in the music industry?

Ahhh...grasshopper...be true to yourself...follow your dream...never give up.... the songs will lead the way....trust others....it is the songs and not you that are important....Let them be Heard!
